Most DREAM participants live in or near the Flathead Valley, however DREAM caters to those visiting Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Annually DREAM provides outdoor recreation to over 300 athletes locally and from afar.
DREAM provides services to amputees, paraplegics, quadriplegics, visually impaired, those with spinal cord injuries, brain trauma, cerebral palsy, MS, MD, autism, Down’s syndrome, and other physical or cognitive disabilities.
We at DREAM believe that there are benefits of being an Athlete. Adaptive Athlete’s break barriers for outdoor recreation, better their psychical and emotional well-being, and increase the quality of life.
As of right now DREAM has two major programs for all of our athletes. We have a Summer Water Sports Program and Winter Alpine Program.
In our Winter Program a majority of our athletes participate as part of a local school group or organization from the Flathead Valley, Libby and Eureka. Many of these athletes come to the Whitefish Mountain Resort and ski with DREAM volunteers on a consistent basis over the ski season. DREAM also provides services to Destination Adaptive Athletes and/or disabled members of families visiting our local area.
Due to the fact that we rely on volunteers, RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE.
DREAM has specialized adaptive equipment that is provided at no additional charge. DREAM does charge for our Winter lessons however the Summer Program is free to all disabled athletes.
