DREAM FAQ
For
your convenience we've provided answers below to some of the most
"Frequently Asked Questions" regarding our program and procedures
. If after reading through our FAQ, you
have additional questions about anything, please feel free to contact us by E-mail
At what ski areas does DREAM provide its' services?
We work primarily at The Big
Mountain Ski Resort near Whitefish, Montana and on request at the Blacktail
Mountain Ski Resort near Lakeside, Montana..
What can I expect to pay to take part in DREAM?
Our services are provided free of charge to the participant, child or adult - that is why donations are so
important to the survival of our organization. We can generally supply a free lift ticket on days when our services are utilized. Regular ski must be supplied by the participant unless it is specialized equipment (e.g. bi-skis and outriggers)
that we carry in which case we will provide the specialized equipment at no charge. Skis and boots can be
rented in town or at each of the ski resorts. Call us if you have any equipment questions.
How do I sign up?
Participants must fill out and sign the DREAM Participant Form. A dowmloadable
form is provided on this web site: Participant Application Form. It can then be brought to DREAM when the participant
shows up at Big Mountain or Blacktail or it can be mailed. A parent or legal guardian must sign if the participant is under the age of 18.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the fact that we rely on volunteers, RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST
BE MADE IN ADVANCE.
How do I volunteer For the DREAM Program?
Volunteers are welcome any time. We hold training in December and January and we ask you to attend one each of our orientation meetings in Whitefish or Kalispell and one of our on-snow training sessions at the Big Mountain.
(See our Calendar section for dates and meeting locations) If you are unable to attend these scheduled events we will happily work with you at any other time through out the ski season.
Volunteers are required to fill out and sign our Volunteer Applications before participating as a volunteer.
(See Volunteer Application pt 1 and Volunteer Application pt 2)
IMPORTANT NOTE: You do not have to be able to ski
to volunteer for DREAM. Fundraising and administrative volunteers are in high demand.
How do I make contributions to DREAM?
Since we do not
charge for our services, donations are our only revenue source. To make a contribution simply make a check payable to DREAM and send it
to:
